about

Silk Royal's 25th release, "Sapporo," is the title cut from the sensational Japanese artist Shingo Nakamura's forthcoming artist album. Originally featured on Silk Royal Showcase 01, the tune has already been supported on radio by Richard Durand, James Grant, Jaytech, and many others.

The Original Mix is Shingo at his very best: uplifting chords, enhanced by gorgeous piano melodies. (It is no wonder that this exceptional artist from -- you guessed it -- Sapporo, Japan has quickly become one of the most popular modern progressive house artists and a regular on the Beatport prog house chart.) In the main break of this one, Shingo delivers one of his most beautiful piano solos to date, and the combination of the piano with the Mango-influenced chords is truly breathtaking.

Claes Rosen, who has contributed to Silk since the label first got off the ground several years ago, delivers a funky, ready-for-summer interpretation. In recent years, the Swedish phenom has been DJ'ing around Europe and beyond, as well as showcasing his versatile talents in other EDM genres. Rosen proves quite early in this one that he is worthy of his knickname "man of melodies," as he manages to craft an exceedingly layered track. In the main break, we are met by a glorious array of arpeggios, followed by triumphant drop that features a very "regal" lead trumpet.

Finally, the always inspiring Sunn Jellie delivers a deeper, prog trance interpretation. The Ukrainian star, whose magnificent remix of Mango's"Good Morning Track" remains Silk Royal's most successful cut to date, has been a fixture on the Beatport trance chart this past year and has been supported regularly on "A State of Trance." Fans of that track will no doubt recognize the signature bassline in this remix, as well as Mr. Jellie's floating-on-air pads, which guide the track toward the main break. There, a variation on the main theme from the original poignantly pierces through the atmospheric soundscape.
